The States of Matter series represent works that are about the fragility of life’s short time on earth. Everything is in a constant state of transiency and with my depiction of water through its states of solid, liquid and gas, I want these works to bridge the existence between the spiritual and physical worlds. I find it interesting that they evoke calmness and stability, even becoming meditational exercises as the viewer contemplates a subject that had only lasted for a very short time.
